Hi,

I have synced my calendar view to my outlook calendar, it is showing the event, the name of the event, date start & end times, but I need it to show all fields including venue and speaker, for example. All it shows is a URL to take me back to the Airtable base for more info.

In the Airtable calendar view, I have used the Customise Labels tab to show what fields I want to see when you expand a record. It says "This view is being used in a view share link", but 9 out of 12 fields are not showing in the outlook sync.

It's not really functional to have to go back into the Airtable calendar to see all event details when you are syncing it to outlook, otherwise I would just use the Airtable calendar in the first place. Let me know if there is something I am missing.

Thanks,

I'm not aware of functionality that can help sync other fields into the external calendars, but my workaround for this involves just formatting the primary field to display all the data I want heh.  Not very pretty, but it works

I think I have the same issue if I’m understanding how you’re describing it right.

If I have a webinar or a zoom meeting in a synced calendar subscription, I I customize the label to show the URL I’ll need to go to to show up in in my everyday (synced Mac) calendar, so all I would need to do is click that synced hyperlink - but when all that shows up is a hyperlink sending me back to the Airtable base, that defeats all those settings and eliminates the whole point of the convenience in the 1st place!

That’s a pretty good workaround. It’s unfortunate that the integrated calendar sync in Airtable is relatively limited at the moment. Hopefully, Airtable will improve this in the future.

In the meantime, you could gain more functionality by using Make’s Outlook integrations to “sync” all the details of your Airtable events to Outlook, but the real downside here is that you’d have to manually create all of your automations to create this “sync”. It could take many hours to configure & set this up in the right way.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable
