I need to create two tables - say a Purchase Header table (one record) with another (many) table of Line Items - and allow update to both on just one user screen

AS described above - I need a traditional one screen that displays 2 tables at once - a Purchase Order single record in the top half and in the bottom half of the screen a grid of many attached line items.

I scanned forums etc and cannot find this kind of scenario…...HELP !!!!

This can be absolutely and easily achieved via interfaces. Take a look at the example below. In this case, I’m using a Record Review page (layout) for Invoices. Within it, I’ve included the linked record Invoice Line Items, and showing those in a List view.

 

 

You might want to check out this video. The purpose of the video is to showcase something different, but I do go through the database architecture and the interface setup pretty quickly (min 9:40 for the interface setup).
