Accessing text in formula or linked field in an automation

is there a way to get the text from a formula or linked field in an automation? When I try to add them as a dynamic record property I just get the length result not the text.

When referencing an existing linked record field in an automation you have the choice to dynamically reference the length, record ids, or text of those records:
