Edit:
Airtable response:
Our engineering team has successfully deployed a fix for this issue (which arose from a recent update to our code) and any automations referencing an attachment should now run as expected without error.
It's working again. Thank you all.

Hello.
I've been using the Send Email action in automations for more than a year. Always worked great. In the Send Email action, in the Attachments section (Bottom) I selected the column that contained the file, and that file was attached in the email.
3 days ago, my automation worked fine. But today, when the automation triggered, there was a problem (An attachment url is disallowed):
I already turned off and on the automation, changed the trigger, changed pdf file for jpg, and always the same error.
I tried the automation with records that already triggered a few days ago and worked fine (My trigger is a Single select column, so, to trigger it again, I deleted the value in the single select field, and select it again). Same problem.
I already wrote to Airtable Support, but I wanted to write here too, because it is a very important feature in my workflow, and maybe one of you can help me find a solution or a workaround.
Thank you very much for your help.

Same issue here! Started today (Apr 24 2023) at around 12:00 EDT. Automations that have been working for months have stopped working. It seems to be the case for both the built in "send email" and the outlook "send email". Always get the error: An attachment url is disallowed.

Just the same issues for me... I didn't found any solutions yet...

From support:
“Airtable's engineering team has identified an issue impacting automations which reference attachments, resulting in an error message that reads ‘An attachment URL is disallowed.’
Our team is actively developing a fix and we will let you know as soon as we have an update.”

Any update on this by chance? I am having the same issue as of this afternoon!

That is the latest as of 5:20pm EDT. I will post here if I receive a notice that it has been resolved.
In the meantime I have duplicated our send email automations to create a temporary copies where the emails say “temporarily no attachments” and removed any attachments (turning off the original for now so I don’t keep getting failure notices).
I assume this will be solved by morning since the support team is aware.

I have a feeling this 'recent update' also changed some API attachment URL behavior. I just wanted to drop this in case other people are experiencing problems...

Update; it was related to the bug, but not really an API problem in my case. For completeness sake, here's the info. Kudos to support for sharing the details. 😊
...a recent change to our code incorrectly changed internal automations logic for some triggers to download attachments from a link which did not support automated downloads. This will have primarily affected triggers on already-created attachments (such as updating a record or a record entering a view).

Hi,I'm experiencing what appears to be the same issue as of 2nd June '23, apparently this "fix" hasn't lasted, as far as I'm aware nothing has changed in my script. Anyone else having any more issues?
