Can I export rich text in format other than markdown into a google doc template?

I have an Integromat / Make scenario setup to generate google docs from a google doc template using Airtable records.
The column type in airtable is long text with rich text enabled so I can include bolding and links.

My issue is that the google docs generated include the bold text and links in markdown format instead of displaying as rich text.

Is there a way to change the export form from airtable or does anyone know how to have google docs ingest markdown and display as formatted (rich?) text?
