One of Airtable's FAQs on how to use a form to modify existing records utilizes automations. Fine, but if I'm going to use this a dozen times a day I'm going to be hitting my 100 monthly automation runs pretty fast, especially since I also want to email daily and weekly reports.
So I ask, do automations acting exclusively within Airtable count towards that 100 number?

Yes they do. Since you're on the free plan, you would be much better off using Fillout's forms to update records in Airtable, where each form load & each form submission would count towards your 1,000 API limit.
