Im new to airtable and make.com so forgive me if this is a elementary question...

I setup an automation that has a Stripe webhook to monitor for payments and then update a record when there is a payment but I cant get it to update the record. It can find the record no problem but when it gets to the update module it gives me an error.

Bellow is the log and setup of the update module. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Hmm, you're using the email returned by Stripe as the record ID value, which is causing the error that isn't a valid record ID.  Instead, try using the result of the 'Search record' action:

@JordonDrilling

When using Make’s Airtable modules to update a record after a search, you’ll need to use the Airtable Record ID that comes from your Airtable search module.

See screenshot below for an example of how this might look.

Since you are new to Make, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances.

For example, in this video, I show how to work with Airtable arrays in Make.

Hope this helps!

Note that you are not using “ID”, you are using a field that you created and named “record ID”.

However, if that is indeed the actual record ID, then your search results didn’t return any records.

Ok my mistake.

I just tried with the correct id field and same issue...

What that means is that your search module is not returning any records from Airtable.

Interesting!  You mentioned that you were able to find the record so this is pretty confusing

Hmm, could you provide a screenshot of the 'Search records' module results in your history?  This would probably go a lot faster via a screenshare too and if that sounds good to you feel free to grab a time here and we can do a quick free call and get you sorted out
