I am using a table to try to build a ‘universal template’ for products that are synced with an ecommerce marketplace.
Each category for products on the marketplace has a specific upload template that has unique fields in addition to the common fields across all product categories.
My plan was to create all possible fields across all category templates and then re-create the category templates as views within the table.
My problem is that I ran into the 500 field limit (that I did not realize existed) and now I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how to restructure my table to accommodate.
My goal is to have a single instance of truth for various product data points; for it to be easy to find (not having to hunt between various tables) and to have an easy way to generate the csv output to match the marketplace upload template for the appropriate category.
Any thoughts?
