Project Summary:


We need a system of managing, requesting, and distributing resources to students for the 20-21 school year. We are starting by creating a “Drive-Thru Library”



A book catalog will be created using QR codes taped to the back of each book- I am hoping to use airtable to start with this inventory.



I need for families to be able to scroll through the catalog of available books created with the QR codes and easily make a request - is that possible through airtable?



We are looking to expand beyond books. In the future, we are hoping to allow students to be able to “check out” for example, a bag containing science lab materials or a trombone.



Tech Goal: Create a system that can scan information pre-loaded into QR codes --> into a form --> that automatically populates into a spreadsheet.

  2. A way to use the spreadsheet information to populate a more user-friendly catalog

Do you envision families checking out books in advance, and then picking them up via drive through? And, do you want teachers/staff to be able to scan books as part of the “loan” process, or just be able to lookup which person reserved which book so they can give it to them in the drive through?

Our client portal extension allows you to scan a QR code to lookup an existing record. And you can have a “Booking” button on each record that loads a form for tracking inventory. Here’s an example.
