Adding new fields to existing table using Webapp

Is it possible to add additional fields in existing table from a webapp that i create on top of Airtable?

Currently the only way to add new fields is within the Airtable user interface. Airtable recently released the ability to create new fields using scripting, but only through Scripting App (not an automation script), thus you still must be in the Airtable user interface.
