If I have Filter Tabs enabled and I click 'Add records,' if I don't manually populate the fields that the filter is using, the record is filtered out of view immediately after it is created.

It might be useful to have the fields and values specified in the current tab's filter automatically applied to the new record I created, at least as an option. I think in many cases this would be a more intuitive behaviour for users.

This just seems common Sense and I was surprised to run into this a lot today myself. would be very helpful if that was default behavior to adding items into views and it would save a lot of input. this ability is one thing apple numbers has going for it with its categories feature, Airtable lists keeps iprovingto be similar in behavior where adding an item in a section or moving it to another will update those appropriate categorizations in the data. it's very nice. Especially now that two sync can add records from the base you are working in, this need to be able automatically apply the filtered info is necessary.
