I want new and modified records in Table 1 to automatically be added to Table 2.
Is that possible and if it is, how to do it?

If you want it to occur automatically, then you’ll need a 3rd party tool, such as those found in the integrations list or something custom via the API.
Manually, however, you could use advanced linking (linked record & lookup fields).
