Hey folks!

I’m new to Airtable and am trying out some stuff. As you can see I have a column per month (I know this isn’t ideal but this is how stakeholders want it). Now I want to use some logic to only show months that are in the future. So my question is if I can somehow reference the field names (like Jun 2023), convert that to a date and work with it in a formula field? Any input is welcome!

Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Welcome to the Airtable community!

It looks like your stakeholders are used to working with spreadsheets. Is it possible to structure your data differently, and then present the data to your stakeholders I. The format they way by using the pivot table extension?

And no, you cannot dynamically evaluate the name of a field. You can hardcode the name of a field and process that string in the formula, but I don’t think that is what you want.

Thanks for your reply! It is something I can look into but I don’t think a pivot table will work with the rest of my setup. Too bad it’s not possible to evaluate the fieldname, would be handy!
