Chrome has started thinking every field in Airtable is a password field and pops up the 'Do you want to save this password?' after I finish typing in any field. It is very annoying!
It is also preventing me from choosing a date in a date field because it pops up the 'create a strong password' right on top of the calendar and I can't click on anything!
I've tried Googling for instructions for how to block the password autofill/offer to save on just one site, but can't find instructions exactly.
Is anyone else having this issue? As far as I know, I didn't change anything about Chrome, this just started happening.
One of my users just encountered this too on Chrome. Very strange.
yes, same here, cant figure out how to disable other than kill the Chrome password manager completely.
Having the same issue. It's the worst!
Same issue, so annoying!! Hoping for a solution soon.
I'm having the same issue just from the search field. It's still quite disruptive. There must be some way to disable it from Chrome or Airtable.
Same. Did anyone find a solution?
Has anyone had this same issue in other browsers? It doesn't seem to be happening in Firefox...yet.
Agreed, this has been happening to me as well. It started a few days ago. Super irritating.
For me, it's happening in the search bars like "Find a view" and interface record searches.
+1
It is intensely annoying.
Same here.
I hope a solution will be find quickly as it is quite annoying

I reached out to support and they said it's a known issue they are working on! So hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

Thanks for reaching out and posting here!
Same here. Still love this resource and this platform. Everyone is so helpful. Thank you for the comments, videos, and suggestions!!!
Hi everyone. Had the same problem and I found a fix that worked for me.
Open a new tab on Chrome and go to chrome://flags/
Search "password generation experiment" and set it to disabled
Hit "Relaunch" button
That seemed to work for me, hope it works for you too !
does not work for me.
i've changed fields from being "single line text" to "long text". Now i'm not bothered anymore

Thanks Lucas! I just disabled that on my Chrome and crossing fingers. I utilize the password saving feature in Chrome quite a bit. Doesn't look like it gets disabled overall with this experiment being off.

I also tried this and I didn't work for me 😞
Terrible timing as I'm trying to learn how to make my first Kanban

So you don't have to kill it completely, just turn off 'offer to save passwords'. if you are not creating new/updating passwords on the regular, this is not a terrible solution. other solution above on the experiment flag disable may be better.

chrome://flags/ > "password generation experiment" did not work for me either.
Disabling password manager or auto saving passwords is not an option. Use it too much.
Appears to be a bug that AirTable introduced some field (probably hidden) or perhaps attribute to other fields that looks like a password field to Chrome. AirTable, please fix asap!
AirTable, please at least acknowledge that you've seen and reproduced this issue.
Hello,
I am using Firefox for my airtable work. The bug is not present on Firefox. I feel like I have a desktop software for 'airtable'. 🤓 For me it is the best workaround while this problem is fixed.
