Form Throttling / Rate Limiting

Hi,

We have an Airtable form that might get swamped by the public. I know that the API has a general rate limit of 5 requests per second, but is form submission rate-limited in any way? For example, if we got 10,000 responses in 8 hours, which is about 20 responses per second, will Airtable melt?

Thanks,
Ben

Welcome to the Airtable community!

I haven’t seen a published rate limit on Airtable forms.

However, if you’re expecting 10,000 requests every 8 hours, you’re going to run up against Airtable’s maximum number of records (50,000) in a couple of days.

Yep, that’s fine. We’ll turn things off after 10,000 but want to make sure we don’t accidentally turn people away if Airtable breaks/throttles.
