I can’t figure out how to center align a column. Surely I can do this?

Fields don’t have any kind of formatting control. Or are you talking about one of Airtable’s blocks, like Page Designer? If so, I’ll have to defer to someone else (I’m on the free plan).

I would LOVE to center and right align columns. Airtable is visual and this is a critical visual function. Please Airtable, can you look into it xxx

I looked for how to do this in the online help and didn’t find anything. How is this basic capability not possible in AT? Unless it’s part of some paid feature?

It’s 2023 and after there years, there is still no functionality to edit field data alignment. Seems like an easy update for their dev team. At very least, make it available on basic text, formula and numerical field values.

Also looking for center align. Some columns look ridiculous without it.

This is unbelievable? You can't center the data in a column? Like are you being for real???

Unfortunately, Airtable does not offer any field alignment options. Be sure to email support@airtable.com to submit this as a feature request.

The only field alignment that happens in Airtable is that text & date fields will automatically align left, and number fields will automatically align right.

For more advanced alignment options than that, you would need to turn to a 3rd-party portal for Airtable.

Some of the most popular portals that are currently available for Airtable are: Noloco, JetAdmin, Softr, Pory, and Glide.

Of course, as a last resort, you can always switch away from Airtable to a more advanced database platform that offers full Photoshop-like levels of design control, such as Apple’s FileMaker. (I was a certified FileMaker developer for nearly 30 years before becoming an Airtable consultant.)

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld
