How to create a field that numbers records (1,2,3,4,etc) that are visible by view's filters

When I change the filters, and therefore the visible records, I would like there to be a field that numbers the records.

The reason is I want to copy and paste only the records I use over to a collaborative view that has sorting turned on, and the rearranging makes it difficult to do last minute updates.

Hi @Don_Tran
You can use the autonumber field and filter on it. Are you looking to renumber the records after a re-sort?
