Request: formula to alphabetize rollup/lookup strings

I have a lot of rollup and lookup fields that read in the fields of many records. It would be nice to display those results alphabetically (the tables the fields come from are not sorted alphabetically by those fields, but rather, by a different field).

Even if you directly sort the lookup source field they do not alphabetize in the linked table. As far as I can see they appear in the order created (in the source table) - which for Contacts can be frustrating if you have a primary or main contact which ought to stay at the top.
It would be a huge help if they could appear in the same order in which they are sorted in the source table (Maybe designate one View for that order?)

I hope the team looks into this feature. Right now when I create tables, I have to manually arrange the elements in my rollup fields in alphabetical order.
