I have a base with 3 tables. I want to share 2 of them with my employees. I know I can share them separately, but I have them linked, so I want them to be able to see the linked records.

Alternatively, I know I could just move the 1 table I don’t want them to see into it’s own private base, but I really want them all together for me, just not my employees. Thanks

Can you think of any work-around or other way I could do it?

I’m looking for the same thing! I would like to share a couple of tables with a client.

These are the sharing permissions I need.

  • only make certain tables visible
  • add a record
  • edit a record
  • restrict a user from creating new views (all types)
  • restrict a user from editing views

The current sharing options are nice, but, are there other Airtable users who also have a need for more advanced sharing permissions??

In a perfect world: I would like to

  • share a client specific view (so that the history shows me who changed a record)
  • through a password protected URL
  • with edit and record creation permissions

This way you can really involve clients in active projects without sharing company/private information while keeping everything organized.

This is possible with 3rd party “client portal” solutions such as Stacker or MiniExtensions.
