Sorting of Linked Records:

I have been able to implement the script that sorts linked records by A-Z/Z-A or by if the field name itself has a number 1-10/10-1. What I really want to be able to do is go one step deeper and sort by an ‘order number’ that is in the linked record itself. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
For reference, I am using an automation to bring in records that are in order on another table - but even in order, the automation doesn’t bring them in the full order in which they are in the linked table for some reason.

I sell an automation script and an extension for sorting linked records by a field in the linked table. The sort linked records automation script is for sorting new records. The Sort Linked Records Extension/App is in review with Airtable for inclusion in their marketplace and currently available only with a custom install.
