I have synced my airtable calendar to google cal, but in google it only shows the date field from my airtable, not the name of the event-I find no option to change what shows in google calendar-I don't need the date to appear only the event name in the correct date.

HELPPPPPPP-

Thanks..

Unfortunately, Airtable only syncs ONE FIELD to external calendar apps such as Google Calendar and BusyCal for Mac, which supports Google Calendar.

The field that Airtable syncs is the primary field.

So you would need to change your primary field to whatever you would like to see in Google Calendar.

And the reason I bring up BusyCal for Mac (which is a Google Calendar client app) is because it's important to remember that Google Calendar's native app only refreshes external calendar subscriptions every 24-48 hours.

If you want your external calendar subscriptions to refresh more frequently — as quickly as every 60 seconds — then you need to use a more powerful Google Calendar app, such as BusyCal

However, regardless of whether your external calendar subscriptions are syncing every 60 seconds or every 48 hours, it's still not super-useful to only have ONE FIELD syncing to Google Calendar.

So, if you want 100% complete & total control over how your Airtable events will appear in Google Calendar, and if you want 100% complete & total control over which fields will synchronize to Google Calendar, then you can create your own synchronization process between Airtable and Google Calendar by using Make's Google Calendar automations & integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

For example, here is how you would instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

p.s. If you have a budget for your project and you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with any of this, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consulting — ScottWorld

Yeah..I normally end up changing the primary field of the table into a formula field, and use that formula field to display the data from the fields I want.  Not the prettiest, but eh it works
