My friend shared an interface and gave me editor permission, but I don't have edit mode on my page and can't type anything in that interface, what could be wrong?

An interface-only editor can edit data through the interface -- not edit the interface itself. If I read the linked table right, you need to have Base level Creator access to edit an interface.

You gave me a brief heart attack as I wondered for a second if I had given my users the ability to edit their interfaces!

I’m sorry that I didn’t clarify my question. I was trying to fill in the tables through the interface but failed.

Hm, how certain are you that the fields you're interacting with are set to editable?
