Question on capability

Forum|alt.badge.img

I am wondering if the following can be done and if Airtable can execute what I need. Below is the overview:

  • Import from Excel/Google Sheets business financial data (turnover, profit, costs)
  • Hold in relevant columns within Airtable, referenced to the specific business
  • Automatically classify data into different fields if terminology is not perfect
  • Export this data into a preformed Excel spreadsheet, with the data being entered into the correct fields

This might sound simple to some, complex to others...we are just looking to take financial data, upload and get the system to classify and spit this out into a different form in a specific format, for use by a different team.

TIA

Yes, this is definitely possible and I have done similar workflows with dozens of clients... BUT the catch is that if you want to automate this in a no-code way (i.e. no Javascript coding), then you need to use an external automation tool like Make to do this.

There can be a bit of a learning curve with Make, which is why I created this basic navigation video for Make, along with providing the link to Make’s free training courses. There are also many Make experts hanging out there who can answer other Make questions.

Also, if you have a budget for your project and you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with all of this, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consulting — ScottWorld

Theoretically all of that's doable yeah.  Hard to confirm without knowing the specifics though, but there's a high enough probability that you could get it all done that it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot I reckon
