The past week or so, we have experienced intermittent issues with the Jotform + Airtable integration.

1. Some Jotform submissions indicate they were successfully sent to Airtable, and never showed up in Airtable.

2. Fields that contain more than one attached file (like multiple photos) are only sending over the first file.

In both cases, the integration log shows success. It is not every submission, just some of them, making it hard for me to troubleshoot the problem.

JotForm’s native integration with Airtable has always been very limited (and they even stopped supporting Airtable for a brief time), but it sounds like JotForm is now intermittently unreliable, too.

That is an issue that you would need to ask JotForm Support about.

However, in the meantime, I would highly recommend one of two actions here:

1. Instead of using JotForm’s native/limited integration with Airtable, I would highly recommend using Make’s JotForm integrations instead. This will give you full control over the integration experience with Airtable using Make’s Airtable integrations, and you will also have much deeper support for all of Airtable’s fields (which JotForm does not natively offer).

The only downside here is that it takes several hours to learn Make. If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances here. For example, I show how to work with Airtable attachments here.

2. Instead of using JotForm for your forms, I would strongly recommend using Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable instead. Fillout offers ABSOLUTELY PERFECT INTEGRATION with Airtable, because it was built from the ground up to work directly with Airtable.

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a formcreate custom PDF files from a form submissionaccept payments on formspre-fetch dynamic data from an Airtable record, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create new linked records on a form, add a login page to your form, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

I’ve now gotten most of my Airtable consulting clients to switch away from JotForm and they are very happily using Fillout instead.

Hope this helps!
