Printing an interface view

Hi all, I've pretty much got Airtable now doing exactly what I need it to. However, the one sticking point that I have is the custom view that I have created just misaligns then attempting to print it. Which is a critical thing in our business. I tried reaching out to support but wasn't able to get any help.

I have tried the few responses to questions that I found on here but it didn't seem to fix it for me. I wonder if upgrading from the free plan to the base paid plan will solve the problem? We will need to upgrade anyway but I wanted to make sure the solution worked properly before upgrading.

Any help greatly appreciated.

    No, unfortunately, upgrading won’t solve the problem.

    Unfortunately, Airtable offers extremely limited printing capabilities (i.e. mostly no printing capabilities at all).

    A few of the interfaces offer the ability to add a “print button” to the top of the detail view, but those are the only areas where printing is supported.

    Airtable also offers a Page Designer extension back in the data grid view, but it doesn’t work in interfaces and it can only produce single-page documents.

    Also,  neither of the above options can be automated in any way.

    You will typically need to turn to an external document creation app if you would like to automatically create documents with Airtable — which you can then print after you have generated the document using those other apps.

    Here are a few options:

    1. One of the most popular PDF creation tools for Airtable is DocuMint. This can be automated natively or by using Make’s DocuMint automations.

    2. Another popular tool is Docs Automator, which integrates with Google Docs.

    3. However, you can choose ANY document creation app that you would like, and automate the document creation process by using Make. You can use good old fashioned Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or even newer apps like Formstack Documents or PDF Monkey. Make supports over 1,600 apps natively, and it also supports all other apps that have a REST API with its HTTP module.

    There is a small learning curve with Make, which is why I created this basic navigation video to help. I also provide the links to a few other Make training resources there as well.

    What I am looking to print is basically a simple A4 sheet that is populated from a row in the table. We use this as a build sheet for the product to be created. The layout is fine in the screenshot, it just seems to push all of the data over with a very large left margin which is all thats making it unusable for us.

    Hi @barlow1984,

    The interface only supports printing in record details and some views.

    A workaround is to move the layout to the left half.

    Might need a printable page.
