Timeline block: how to make Event Name the primary label, not the Date?

I figured out how to resolve my initial problem: the Timeline Block takes whatever the first column is and uses it as the label. So I just had to make Event Name the first column, and date the second column, and it labelled things the way I wanted.
I’d like to do some more sophisticated things, like having thumbnails with the Event Names. I will look at whether Vega-Lite can do make the presentation more sophisticated.
