I set up automations for my team so that the next person in the workflow gets notified when the previous step in the process has been completed. However, since I set up the automations, they all come from my Teams account. Is there a way to change this so that the person who enables the automation “sends” the message?

Hey @Alex Denny!

FIY, the account from which messages will be sent is the selected account under “Microsoft Teams account” within the Teams action block. Given what you explain, it seems that it is your account set up.

If you have a limited (and not growing) amount of team members, you could (i) have a User field, or Last Modified By field, on the table which triggers the automation, (ii) have conditional logic on your automation so that if user A is found on the record triggering the automation, then branch A will get executed, if User B is found on the record, then branch B will get executed, so on and so forth.

(See screenshot below. Below the Microsoft Teams action block you’ll see “Add advanced logic or action”. You’ll want to have advanced logic and create multiple IF conditions/blocks on your automation).

It is whitn each new conditional block, that you’ll will actually want to have the Teams action block. Each Teams action block should have a different account integrated to it.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to schedule a call and we can go through it together.
