+13How do I duplicate records with Create Automation but not linked to original record?
This is for purposes of taking Project Schedule snapshots and currently the data in the new table where the records are getting created, remains linked to the original data.
This means the data which I want to be a snapshot is getting updated when changes are made to the original data.
+27How are you currently duplicating the records? Can you share screen shots of the data and the automation setup?
You should be able to use an automation with a “Create record” action and copy over all of the field values except for the value of the linked record field. Leave that field blank.
+13It uses a button in interface to trigger the automation.
+28Hm yeah, it feels like once you update that ‘Create record’ action to not link the records you’d be good to go?
