But I can't figure it out to make this happen

It's a registration form.  We use it for a specific location, every other month.  

I'm trying to reduce some of the manual overhead by trying to auto populate each record as it is submitted with the current event - which is a linked field = from a sync table.

Problem is - the automation doesn't seem to support this - like it does for select fields.

How I am setting it in the form is kludgy

 

Any suggestions - I'm open to hearing them

Try putting in either the record ID or primary field value of the record you want it to link to, so it'd look like one of these:

Here's a base where I've created an automation to use the primary field value of the record I want it to link to: Link to base

If that doesn't help, if you could provide a read-only invite link to a duplicate copy of your base I could set it up for you real quick!
