I’m trying to identify where a record has an expiration date and send an email identifying that record.

I can automate an email that recognizes the expired date but can’t find a way to attach/send the identity of that record.

I have a log (record from a table) and the entries have a field “expiration date”.  My automation finds that record and sends an email that a record has expired.  I need a way for it to not only do that but identify what record that expired (separate field).  Is there a way to do that?

@aruckerbuice

In the area where you are typing the body of your email, you’ll notice a little blue plus sign off to the right.

Click on this blue plus sign, and you can choose fields from the triggering record.

Note that this blue plus sign appears in many different places throughout automations — not just email bodies — so you can use it in other areas as well.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Hey @aruckerbuice,

For further reference (following Scott’s answer), please see the screenshot below.

By clicking on the blue + sign you’ll be able to dynamically reference values from previous steps (i.e. the record which triggered the automation).
