Hey @sanaz456 nice to meet you!

On base design, I would recommend thinking about the data you’re trying represent in terms of Entities and Relationships.

Example of Entities: Clients, Projects, Tasks, Recipes, Ingredients

Examples of Relationships: Clients having Projects, Recipes having a certain quantity of ingredients

This will really help you out to determine what tables you will want.

Like @Mike_AutomaticN said, Airtable Academy is fantastic. It really puts the “fun” in “data management and workflow fundamentals” (lol - sorry). They have an entire section about designing workflows that is very useful for considering how you work and how to think about building out Airtable.

There’s also a large selection of templates to consider and build from. I’ve sometimes gone into the templates just to see how others are organizing information and then building my own with some of the similar concepts. Unfortunately, there isn’t a template titled “New Museum Exhibition Management, Planning, Design, and Fabrication” so I’ve been building and adjusting my own for years. 😉

Overall, Airtable has a decent learning curve, so start simple and build as you need. Expect that you’ll need to reorganize some things once you’re practiced with it. And remember that this community exists and is incredibly supportive.

Also, forgot to mention. If any of you guys work in large organizations, I’ll be doing free live training sessions for one large organization per month.

This might be a great way to kick-off your (and the company’s Airtable journey).
