Hi! I work with an appraisal firm. Each appraiser has his own Airtable base to track jobs and expenses and commissions. When a record in their base is invoiced and a checkbox marked, a record of that job is created in my Payroll base so I know to pay them on the next payroll.

I have it set so that if changes were made to the record in the Appraisers' base, Make.com would search the Payroll base. If the record already existed in the Payroll base, it would update the record. If it didn't already exist, the record would be created.

It all of a sudden stopped working. It isn't recognizing that the record already exists in the Payroll base. I didn't make any changes to the scenario in Make or the bases in Airtable. It just stopped working one day.

Ignore the bottom branch, that’s working fine. It’s the top branch (Payroll) that’s giving me problems. I have Watch Records for the Appraiser’s base.

Then search records in my Payroll base, looking for a matching job number

A filter saying that if no records are found (0 Bundles), then it should create a record.

This scenario has been working perfectly for the past two years, but now it’s not recognizing the existing records and just makes duplicates. Any ideas appreciated!

Hmm, any chance the ‘Job #’ field in the table Jared Production had its name updated recently?  Any chance you could provide some screenshots of the tables too?

No names in the tables have been changed any time in the last year. Here’s a screen shot of the Airtable base

Hey @MeredithPS,

That is strange. If you’d like to grab a slot using this link, we can try to debug this together on a quick free of charge call. There must be something there, as automations follow very specific logic rules lol, so it is usually never the case that they do random stuff! It’s just that it is hard to figure out what is going on :D
