I’m looking for a solution for adding e-signature approvals for invoice attachments to a record. Basically I’m trying to track invoice approvals, but need to be able to add an e-signature when someone approves the invoice for payment. Any ideas?
Hi @Lisa_Unruh,
PandaDoc and Documint both have extensions for airtable and can handle the e-signature requirements.
One of the easiest (and cheapest) ways of doing this is to use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable.
I show how to do this step-by-step on this Airtable podcast episode:
Fillout also offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a form, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, create new linked records on a form, and much more.
Here’s another podcast episode where I show off a few more of the advanced features of Fillout:
Alternatively, you can use any eSignature platform that you’d like, and automate it with Make’s advanced automations & integrations,
For example, you can automate the communication between eSignatures.com and Airtable by using Make’s eSignatures integrations along with Make’s Airtable integrations.
Personally, I’ve enjoyed using eSignatures.com, but there are many others to choose from.
If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.
Hope this helps!

Hi @Lisa_Unruh,

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn’t see PandaDoc listed as an extension option. Documint requires you to agree to giving them access to your Base’s data and users. We’re not willing to do that. I can’t imagine anyone would be.

I answered this question too fast, and didn’t validate what I thought was true.

@Vivid-Squid I wasn’t familiar with the e-signature feature of DocuMint?

Ah, thanks! I was getting excited there for a minute!

Documint requires you to agree to giving them access to your Base’s data and users.
This is not a DocuMint requirement, this is an Airtable requirement. Currently, Airtable’s API requires you to open up full access to your entire base in order to pull information from it.
