Can Airtable manage version control with attachments to ensure that when a file is replaced with the new file, only the new file is visible or clearly identified as the current version whilst retaining access to historic versions?

Any best practise on how to set this up or use some form of approval work flow?

Thanks,

Hey @leigh14 ,

You’ll want to have a table for “Files” and a table for “Versions” linked to it.
One “File” record might be linked to multiple “Version” records.

At a File level you’ll create a lookup from the linked versions and fetch only the latest attachment (you’ll want to sort the lookup by Date, and show the last 1 only). -You can read more on lookup fields here.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you’d like to go through it together on a call.
