Linking records is making me cry

Here’s what I’m trying to do:
I have a CRM base. One table has records that include prospects’ names, contact info, etc. Another table has my prospect funnel (contacted, meeting scheduled, sold, etc). I need a way to see the contact’s status in the funnel in the contact table (as a grid), and be able to move them through the funnel on the funnel table (in a kanban board). I just can’t figure out what to connect and how to connect it. I’m very much an AirTable beginner. Thanks in advance!
