Hey everyone,

Thanks for joining this EDUser group event! We were thrilled to host Reza Rahanema, the COO and co-founder of NaTakallam, who walked us through an inspiring use case focused on automating workflows to support their mission.

If you missed the session or want to revisit the highlights, you can watch the full recording below.

Highlights from the NaTakallam Use Case

Reza showed us how NaTakallam, a social enterprise that hires refugees as online language tutors, leverages Airtable as their central source of truth. His use case demonstrated the power of a connected database and strategic automations to manage their administrative and operational processes.

Here are some of the key takeaways from the presentation:

  • Centralized Operations: By bringing student, tutor, and session data into a single Airtable base, NaTakallam eliminated data silos and created a centralized system to easily track all their activities.

  • Automated Payments: Reza demonstrated a sophisticated Zapier integration that handles monthly payments to their freelance tutors. The system automatically creates payment records, informs tutors, and updates payment statuses and receipts, significantly reducing administrative work.

  • Dynamic Performance Dashboards: A key part of the demo was a hands-off dashboard that dynamically tracks monthly performance metrics. This included active users, new students, churn rate, revenue, and disbursements, allowing for quick and effective strategic planning.

  • Innovative Use of AI: Reza shared how he plans to use Airtable's new AI features, such as Field Agents, to automate sentiment analysis on student feedback. This will help them summarize feedback anonymously and provide actionable recommendations to their tutors, a process that was previously time-consuming.

A huge thanks again to @Reza_Rahnema for sharing this incredible use case with our community. It’s inspiring to see how Airtable can be used to power a mission-driven organization.
