Hmm, have you tried out using Field Agents yet? Feels like at this point you could probably upload the PDF and have the field agent just extract all the data you want from it

re: extract key details (dates, amounts, etc.) and display summaries by month or year.
If this is purely for display, then you could:
- Get an AI field to output the date
- Use an Interface to display the data bucketed within the time period you want
If you don’t want to use Interfaces, you could use formula fields to output the month year / year and group by that too
If you wanted to use this data programatically, like in reports or emails or something, then you’d need to have a new table where each record represented a single time period you’d want to track.
This is simple enough to do, you’d use the value from the formula field mentioned above and use an automation to paste it into a linked field to the new table, which would result in all the payslips for the month of June 2025 being linked to a record in the ‘Month Year’ table called ‘June 2025’, does that make sense?
Hey @laradario,
Greetings from Argentina! It is always nice to meet other LATAM power users.
1. Adam’s solution suggested above is probably the leanest and easiest if you are handling a pretty flat database schema.
2. If you need something a bit more complex (e.g. pushing data to multiple tables, and would like to avoid having multiple helper fields in the way) you might want to check out the video below -different use case.
3. If Airtable’s AI will use way too many credits, then you can always build an automation on Zapier, Make, or N8N (more on these automation tools here) to use your own Open AI -or other- API.
If you need any help setting this up, please feel free to grab a slot using this link. I’d be happy to go through it together. Also, please make sure to join this Airtable spanish speaking Airtable community on reddit -just starting to push it :D

Organizing teacher payslips in Airtable can be streamlined by using linked records and automation to handle recurring data. For quick file management or format changes, tools like Online converter make it easy to convert documents efficiently without needing extra software.
