Sharing products for my clients to approve

You could (i) give them editor access to the base, (ii) create an interface and give them access to the interface itself, or (ii) give them read only access to the full base (which will include interfaces) and include on such table or interface a link or button with a dynamic formula on it that will re-direct them to a Fillout update record form.

As long as you stay on a free plan, first two options will be free! These are also nice as they are 100% airtble native and easier to set up.

Third option is still super easy an free, even if you upgrade your Airtable plan. Fillout’s free plan is super generous.

Hmm, I take it you only want the client to be able to see that data in your screenshot, right?  If so, your best bet's going to be using Fillout.com for this

The idea would be to create a form that lets the client update the record, and you’d set it up so that:

1. All the product data is read-only and not editable
2. Only one field is editable: the ‘Selected’ checkbox

If you upgrade to the Teams plan, you’ll be able to use an Interface for this where you can:

1. Create an Interface to show them the fields you want
2. Invite the client to the Interface
   1. Optionally, restrict the client to seeing only their records

I’m kind of curious how this works though, like, what happens after they click ‘Selected’?  Will there be multiple clients that are using this system?

There are 5 ways to allow external collaborators to approve records in your Airtable base.

Two of these ways cost money, and 3 of these ways are free:

1. (FREE) Make your clients read-only users of your interface, which is free. Then give them special links through Fillout or Make (see #4 and #5 below) to approve or deny their records. 
    
2. (PAID) Use Airtable’s portals, which are prohibitively expensive. The cost would be hundreds of dollars per month for just a small number of users.
    
3. (PAID)  Use a 3rd-party portal, which are significantly less expensive than Airtable’s portals.
   
   The most popular portals that are currently available for Airtable are:
   Noloco, JetAdmin, Softr, Pory, and Glide.
   
   I gave an entire one-hour webinar on Noloco called Building a Client Portal on Noloco powered by Airtable.
    
4. (FREE) External read-only users can approve your Airtable records for free by using Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable. This is likely your #1 best bet, and the way that most people are doing it.
   
   Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a form.
   
   Fillout gives you a formula that you add to your Airtable base, which automatically creates a special URL for each record.
   
   So you would send your clients the URL, which would take them to that record in Fillout. They can approve that record there.
   
   I demonstrate some of this in this Airtable podcast episode.
    
5. (FREE) External read-only users can approve your Airtable records for free by triggering a custom webhook in Make, which would then automatically run an automation that marks that task as complete.
   
   Similar setup as #3 above. You would create a formula in your Airtable base, which would automatically create 2 unique URLs for each record — one for approve and one for deny.
   
   Then, your read-only user would approve or deny by clicking on the URL.
