Let’s take a look back at what happened in Airtable last month.
🤖 Calling all builders! Over $100K in prizes on the line for our first ever Airtable Buildathon
We're looking for the best Airtable builders to compete in the Airtable Buildathon on March 19 in NYC at HALO 28—a one-day, high-energy competition where you'll solve real business problems with AI and compete for $100K+ in cash prizes.

This isn’t a typical hackathon. It’s a live builder competition where you’ll work in ready-to-go Airtable environments, take on AI-driven bounty challenges, and ship working solutions that solve actual problems. And the bonus? Cold, hard, cash.
It’s hands-on. It’s competitive. It’s collaborative. And it’s built for builders (and their teams) who want to solve real business problems with AI-powered workflows.
A few reasons why I am excited & why this event is different:
- Structured AI challenges: Attendees wPick a track (Marketing, Product, Sales, Creative, Legal) and complete AI-powered “bounties” tied to real business problems.
- Guided by experts: Airtable specialists will be onsite to help you level up your build and go further.
- $100K+ in prizes: With 250+ builders, 5 tracks, and hundreds of prize opportunities—plus a $50,000 Grand Prize.

🦸 Introducing: Superagent by Airtable
Last month, Airtable launched Superagent, our first standalone product built on multi-agent coordination.

When you ask Superagent a question, you're not asking one AI assistant to perform sequential, checklist-style tasks. You're getting a coordinating agent that plans the work, deploys specialists who work in parallel, and synthesizes their output into a finished, highly polished deliverable you can immediately use.
Here's what's happening under the hood when you use Superagent:
- You ask a question, and Superagent doesn't start searching; instead, it immediately builds a research plan, identifying what needs to be investigated, surfacing dimensions you didn't think to ask about, structuring the work like a team of analysts would.
- Then it deploys specialized agents. One investigates financials, another analyzes competitive positioning, another reviews management and recent news. These agents work in parallel, their work coordinated by the system, each contributing their piece to the whole.
- Finally, it synthesizes. Superagent takes all the parallel work streams and weaves them into a coherent, polished deliverable – not a wall of text, but a rich, interactive artifact, custom-built for your question.
The result? Analyses that used to take weeks now complete in minutes, and the system gets smarter with every problem it solves because it builds institutional knowledge that compounds over time.

We’re always evolving Airtable Academy to reflect your feedback and learning goals… which is why we’re excited to share that Airtable Academy has a fresh new look 💅
Here’s what’s new:
- Updated all of our course and learning path tiles for a cleaner, more intuitive browsing experience
- Updated our Course Catalog to have a “Product Areas” filter, helping you find more relevant content based on the current jobs to be done within Airtable
- Updated our “Builder Advanced” learning path to now be called Formula Essentials, providing more clarity into this course’s focus on formula-based workflows (like conditional statements, logical arguments, and various record, date, and text functions)
- Moved our Intro to Advanced Automations and Data Sets and Advanced Sync courses into the Builder Essentials learning path
These updates are designed to make it easier to navigate Academy and find the right learning path for your goals. Take a look and let us know what you think!
🚀 Product Launch Recap
Catch up on the latest features that launched this month—built to save you time, streamline workflows, and unlock new use cases.
✅ Automation Subscribers
Automation subscribers give base creators precise control over who gets notified when automations fail. You can now add up to 10 subscribers per automation, including service accounts or distribution lists, ensuring the right people are alerted when it matters most.
Use cases:
- Ensure business-critical automations (billing, onboarding, compliance) always have backup coverage
- Route failure alerts to team inboxes or on-call rotations instead of a single owner
- Reduce risk when automation owners are out of office or change roles
✅ Manage HyperDB Integration Schemas
You can now add, rename, and reorder integration fields in HyperDB after import—giving admins much more flexibility to evolve schemas as business needs change.
Use cases:
- Clean up or standardize external data schemas without re-importing massive datasets
- Align HyperDB field names with internal reporting or analytics conventions
- Adapt schemas as upstream systems evolve (new fields, naming changes, reordering)
✅ Natural Language Filtering with Omni
You can now describe the data you want in plain language, and Omni will build—and iteratively refine—the filter logic for you. No manual AND/OR conditions required.
Use cases:
- Build complex filters conversationally (e.g. “Active EMEA projects updated this week”)
- Skip error-prone manual logic for advanced scenarios (e.g. “High-priority, blocked items past due”)
- Explore data iteratively by layering context without starting over (e.g. “Over budget… with incomplete tasks… due next quarter”)
