The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of elderly individuals (age 60+) and disabled persons (ages 18+).
- Conduct home visits to observe living conditions and interview victims and caregivers to gather essential information.
- Coordinate interventions and assess ongoing protective services needs to ensure the wellbeing of clients.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with team members to provide timely support and intervention.
- Travel within the local multi-county area for home visits, hearings, and training sessions, utilizing your personal vehicle as needed.

Adult Protective Services Specialist I
Four or more years of relevant experience in protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, in home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
Or
Bachelors degree in Social Work or other human services field.
Adult Protective Services Specialist II
Five or more years of relevant experience in protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, in home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
Or
Bachelors degree in Social Work or other human services field and one year of experience protective services, casework or case management, investigation of abuse/neglect/or exploitation, In home care or intervention services for the elderly or vulnerable populations.
