As we have view descriptions to identify the purpose of a view, it would be very helpful to implement the same feature in the forms list.

In our case we have several forms for different purposes that are each tied to a number of automations. For the users editing the forms it's currently difficult to navigate the forms list and be sure you are editing the correct form as there is no description and/or internal name of it to indicate the purpose.

Oooh, good catch there!

I didn’t even notice that descriptions are not available for the new forms, even though they used to be available for the old forms!

These descriptions were something that a few of my clients depended on in the past, too. Please be sure to submit this as a feature request to support@airtable.com.

Also, I just checked, and Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable do offer descriptions for forms, although you have to click on a pop-up menu to see the descriptions. (Fillout is 100% free and offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records from a form.)
