This would solve many issues with ‘New’ records disappearing in Kanban Views (because they don’t meet a Filter requirement).

Well, maybe Airtable is not aiming to be a capable task management tool. It is hard to explain their reluctance to implement such a basic feature for Kanban boards. Especially considering the fact that grouping is already present in Grid views.

I have to agree – and also, I think from a design perspective Airtable would probably say ‘Your use case is closer to a Grid than Kanban, so use Grid’.
