It would be great if it was possible to FORMAT TEXT (fonts, colors, bold, italics), CELLS (left, right, center alignment, background colors), and BORDERS (bold or dashed lines, colors) within tables. The ability to add extra header lines and/or to FREEZE more cells vertically and horizontally would help, too.

I really like the idea of Airtable, but can’t effectively use it over Excel until it has more functionality.

I think this is a really interesting topic worth exploring. While I completely understand the desire for features like bold, italics, alignment options, background colors, and more, I believe Airtable might approach things a bit differently, being developed not as a supercharged Excel, but as a powerful database tool.

Could you share specific examples of how you would use bold, italics, underline, alignment, or colors (record, field, etc.) in your day-to-day work on Airtable, given the possibility?

I think it would be great to understand where these features would bring the most value. Maybe we can brainstorm some creative workarounds together.
