Dear Community,

I work for a small charity based in London and we have used Airtable since 2019 so we have a lot of data stored. I am looking to upgrade back to Team plan from Free but am concerned that upgrading may reset workspace and lose data

For context:

  • Small charity working with boys and men in London
  • Changed banks → automated Airtable payment failed
  • Downgraded from Team to Free plan
  • Over usage limits, 24 days to upgrade
  • Support team contacted, communication unclear
  • Ideal: update bank details, make payment, continue as is
  • The administrator is on extended leave and I need to change the contact name for access purposes

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

As a datapoint, I’ve upgraded from Free to Teams before and didn’t experience any data loss.  What makes you worry that you’d lose data?

If you can’t wait for a clearer response from Airtable Support, what if you:

  1. Duplicated your bases into a different workspace
  2. Upgrade your original workspace

That way if you do lose data in your original workspace all your data’s still intact in the other workspace and you can just move it over?  Won't help if you’ve got integrations tho

Thank you @TheTimeSavingCo

I failed to mention the integrations.

My concerns could be completely unfounded but before completing  the actions, I just wanted to see what the experiences of others had been. I will just proceed to upgrade and follow the steps.

Thank you.

@Airtable_Admin1

You will not lose any data. It is fine for you to upgrade.
