I need help 😄

I’m currently trying to import a CSV file into one of my bases under aĀ Teams plan workspace, but I’m receiving an error message stating that theĀ maximum allowed file size is 5 MBĀ  which, as I understand, applies only toĀ Free plans.

Could you please confirm why this limit is being applied to my paid workspace and help me resolve it? I’d appreciate any clarification or steps to fix this issue so I can proceed with the import.Ā Please refer to the screenshotĀ below:Ā

Thank you for your assistance.

Ā

On allĀ ofĀ Airtable plans, the limit for importing CSV files is both 25,000 rows and 5 MB in size.

If you’re looking for a way to get around this limit, you would either need to:

  1. Break up your CSV file into multiple smaller batches.
    or
  2. Use a 3rd-party integration tool likeĀ Make’s CSV modules alongsideĀ Make’s Airtable modules. I demonstrate how to importĀ CSV files using Make on this Airtable podcast episode.

Hope thisĀ helps!

If you have a budget and you’dĀ like to hire theĀ best Airtable consultantĀ to help you with this or anything else that is Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website:Ā Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

The last time I had this issue I ended up:Ā

  1. Importing just a bit of the data so that Airtable would create the fields for me,
  2. Opening the CSV in Numbers (Excel or Sheets would work fine to I reckon)
  3. Cut and pasted the CSV data into the table in batches

Check out Spreadsheet Import extention, it should be able to import your csv in one go.
