How do I collect email address of people who fill the form?

Do they need to fill in the email field each time? Or can that be just noted from a logged in user?

Welcome to the community, @Tomasz_Kretek! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: The person filling the form would need to enter their email into a field every time, even if the user is a known collaborator on the base tied to the form. Anyone can fill in a form because it doesn’t require a login. No login = no user info.

If you would like to automatically link form submissions with the user data, we’ve built a solution for that.

You have a few different options for this:

  1. As long as the user is logged into their Airtable account, you can enable the option to “See who submitted a response”.
  2. If the user doesn’t have an Airtable account, you can either ask for their email address on the Airtable form, or you can create a login page for your form by using Fillout.
  3. You can even use Fillout to get these additional features:
    - You can verify & confirm that the user is typing in a valid email address.
    - You can use Fillout to restrict the logins by SSO or email domain.
    - You can limit the form entries to one entry per person.
    - And much more.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld
