Old Way of Adding New Fields?

Before maybe a month ago, when I clicked to add new fields, I can just type the name and then select the type. Now I have to select the field type first and then enter a name.

My brain is wired the other way. Is there anyway to go back to the old way?

Unfortunately not. Most of us are displeased with this new change as well. :(

You can try sending an email to support@airtable.com to request that Airtable give us a way to go back to the old method, but I already emailed them about it and they told me that they won’t be going back to the old way.

It’s very disappointing.

Thanks, I just emailed them. Hopefully if enough people email them, they’ll consider it.
