Hello Community! Has anyone had success printing from the new Interfaces feature? I’ve created some texts and a table in the new Interfaces feature - basically it’s a nice checklist. When I do a basic print - the formatting is way off and my table doesn’t fit on the page. I tried using the app Page Designer, but it doesn’t appear that you can select an Interface to load into Page Designer. Thoughts? Suggestions?

This should help.

If you need to create your own templates for printing Airtable records, check out On2Air Actions for automated documents.

Almost all of the interface pages now come with a print option that you can enable.

After you enable the print option, it will appear in the upper right corner of those interface pages.

For interface pages that don’t come with a print option, you may have some limited success by just printing from your web browser by pulling down from the File menu to Print.

If pages are getting cutoff strangely when you print, you might have some limited success by adjusting your web browser’s print settings.

Otherwise, you’d need to custom-create your own printing/PDF workflow by using 3rd-party apps.

For example, you may want to turn to a Chrome browser extension such as GoFullPage that can create full-page screenshots of your page and turn those full-page screenshots into PDF files that you can then print.

Otherwise, these 3rd-party apps can be automated, and these apps will create perfectly-formatted documents for you that you can then print:

  1. DocuMint — the original document creation app for Airtable. Creates PDF files. You can also get charts and graphs embedded into your document by using QuickChart.
  1. DocsAutomator — creates Google Docs documents or PDF files.
  1. Make’s integrations — which can be integrated with any document-creation app of your choosing, even something as simple as custom Microsoft Word documents or Google Sheets spreadsheets. If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one way that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

  2. Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable — If you’d like to automatically generate a PDF file after an Airtable record is created or updated, this is a built-in feature of Fillout, as I demonstrate on this Airtable podcast episode: Using Fillout to create an eSignature approval process with PDF file creation.

Hope this helps!
