I’ve been at my company for about two years and our content team’s workflow has changed pretty drastically in that time. We decided we needed a new Airtable base and to switch to an Interface for ease of tracking projects with multiple components across multiple teams.
We finally have the visibility we’ve been lacking for full team transparency. Whereas before each team has its own tab in the data layer that were linked but didn’t really talk to each other, all deliverables now live in one tab and each content piece (based on an Updates tab from the Content Calendar template) lives in a second tab and is automatically created based on content type. There is also (based on the template) a separate area for when external stakeholders request content so that we can vet it for all required information before pulling it into the team workflow.
Using interfaces has also allowed us to better share calendars and status updates with external stakeholders, giving them only access to the information they need.
