I have set up an automation to send client creatives for approval, which allows them to update the database with either an 'approved' or 'denied' status. However, it appears that they need to create an account to do so. Is there a way for them to approve without having to create an account? Thank you.

Yes, the best way to do that would be to use Make's webhooks and Make's Slack integrations.
In this episode of the BuiltOnAir Podcast, I show how to do this exact thing with email messages, but you could easily change it to Slack instead of email.
